Byte launched its teledentistry platform in 2019 and has since enjoyed remarkable growth in the invisible aligner market. The company's low-cost, guaranteed impression kit, staff of licensed dentists and orthodontists, as well the free product enhancements it offers, make Byte an attractive option for patients who need mild to moderate orthodontic correction.

To get started, patients complete an at-home impression kit and provide photographs to be evaluated through a personalized patient portal. Overall my experience has been as expected. Given that their team is pretty busy I've generally received delayed responses and have had to follow up with their customer support. I also haven't had the easiest experience with the retainers in that the timeline has been generally off where I'm wearing my retainers for multiple weeks before changing due to fit.

I did my research on all the major teeth straightening companies (i.e. Smile Direct Club, Byte, Candid, and Invisalign) and I decided to go with Byte based on price, reviews, treatment length, credentials, and lifetime smile guarantee. I'm on week 13 of 21 and I am overall happy with my experience thus far. Customer service has been great. I found it best to call when I need support because email takes a while for them to respond and I can never get connected to anyone via the online chat. The aligners are comfortable and well-made. I have been using Byte nighttime aligners for about 10 weeks now. My treatment is supposed to take 17 weeks for the top, and 24 for the bottom. So far, I’m thrilled with the results! Since I have the nighttime aligners, I am free to eat, drink, chew gum, etc throughout the day. Then I just pop my aligners in at night, use my HyperByte for 10 minutes, and go to bed. Sometimes the HyperByte can be painful, and sometimes the aligners can be a bit inconvenient if I want to go out at night, but these minor inconveniences are so worth it! Byte customer service is incredible, and I’m thrilled with the results I’m seeing.

I used to use SmileDirectClub and the retainers were uncomfortable and cheap feeling. They also charged me a lot for my retainers at the end. Byte's whitening foam is a genius and painless way to whiten my teeth while cleaning my retainers. The comfy retainers feel great and the service is even better! Would recommend Byte over SmileDirectClub.
