Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement. The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract. After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

Signed up in November, agent told me leaks and full replacements are covered in their platinum plan. I have a recorded conversation with the agent with her confirming this information. Had the tech call in, their systems were all of a sudden 'down' and even called back in after he replaced it/submitted the bill after they said I could use my own tech because theres were too busy. Stay away they screwed me out of 1500 dollars in reimbursements

Run from this company!!! They are a scam!! They will not pay for repairs. Read reviews on websites they are not affiliated with and you will see for yourself. So many people have been scammed by this company including me. I will give a 1 star only so this will post.

Kind of on a budget and thats why I have a warranty. The sink was leaking around the edge and it was covered that someone came and sealed around the sink. It was a simple job and it was done right.

DO NOT PURCHASE A SELECT HOME WARRANTY!!! MY DOWNSTAIRS HEATING UNIT IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY. THE TECH THAT CAME OUT TOLD ME I NEEDED A NEW THERMOSTAT. SAID HE HAD TO GET AUTHORIZATION BECAUSE MY UNIT "HAD NOT BEEN PROPERLY MAINTAINED". (WHEN I SCHEDULED THE APPOINTMENT I WAS ASKED WHEN THE UNIT WAS LAST SERVICED, I TOLD THEM I DID NOT KNOW. SO THEY KNEW THIS FROM THE START) WAITED 2 DAYS WITH NO RESPONSE CONCERNING THE THERMOSTAT. I CALL SELECT AND THEY TELL ME THEY WON'T REPLACE THE "HEAT EXCHANGE". Goodness gracious what a mess i had! The sprinkler system pipe cracked making a mess. I called up right away after I turned off the main water line. SHW took my call seriously and had a repair main replace the pipe the following day GREAT!

Seriously run away from this company. They have every out you could possibly think of to not cover any item. My water heater that went started leaking because that's what water heaters do? Yeah they don't cover leaks. They suggest to replace the water heater myself...So the number one thing that happens to an old water heater, they don't cover it with the home warranty?? Also my motor went out on my garage door opener. They said I had to pay the contractor to replace it and the max they would reimburse me was $150 on a $350 bill, which it took 2 months to get a check from them. I have had nothing but trouble since the day I bought this stupid range from home depot. It had problems before the manufacturer warranty and after too. Finally Select was gracious enough just to cut me a check for $150 for another. It isn't that much but it helps.

Now with this second repair done I consider this a bargain option for house appliance problems. The price is cheap and the work on smaller items like my microwave and dryer cut overall home costs.
